Our proximity to some of the worlds greatest natural assets makes our cabin a perfect place for your family vacation or corporate retreat.

For starters, the famed Henrys Fork of the Snake River flows only yards from the cabin making it a haven for fly fishermen and women. Just upstream a few miles the Henry's Fork drops off 2 giant shelves forming  Lower and Upper Mesa Falls. These waterfalls are off the beaten path and are an unforgettable sight. If water falls are your thing, Cave Falls on the Falls River is a short 20 mile drive from the cabin. Cave Falls is located in the South-west corner of Yellowstone National Park. The fishing is excellent here as well, not to mention the entire stretch of Falls River that flows through the Ashton area before pouring into the Henry's Fork down stream from the cabin. The rivers and streams near Ashton and in Yellowstone are too numerous to list here, but take our word for it - you will not be disappointed.

If your vacation plans involve the fluffy white stuff - winter time in Ashton is for you. Ashton and Island Park lay claim to over 500 miles of groomed snowmobile trails and was recently ranked just below West Yellowstone as the #2 trail system in the west.  Of course these two trail networks are connected allowing you to experience the best snowmobiling the west has to offer. Snowmobile rentals are available. There are also two amazing maintained cross country ski trails on Fall River Ridge and on the canyon rim above Mesa Falls. All of the off trail winter recreation is yours to be had just off the back steps of our cabin.

Fish Hawk Flats is a middle point between Yellowstone National Park and the Teton N.P./Jackson Hole area. One can drive north and arrive at the West Entrance of Yellowstone within 1 hour. After experinceing Yellowstone, exiting the park through the South entrance brings you into Teton National Park with all it's grandure. Beyond Teton N.P. lies Jackson Hole, a great place to experience an old west chuck wagon ride, or shop in the downtown area. When you have exahsted your unforgetable day, our cabin is only another hour drive away. This loop is a perfect day-trip.

Activities

Yellowstone National Park

Old Faithful and most of the world's geysers are preserved here. They are one of the many reasons that the park was established in 1872 as America's first national park. The park lies with in a giant caldera and is home to grizzly bears, wolves, and herds of bison and elk. There are many miles of hiking and biking trails throughout the park that lead to some of the most breath taking sights in America.

Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole, WY

Towering 13,770 feet above the earth are the Grand Tetons. They are rich with an amazing array of wildlife and pristine lakes. There are over two hundred miles of trails to explore, you can even float the Snake River that cuts through the area giving you a unique view of the mountain range. Jackson Hole, WY sits in the center of breath taking views of sceinery and wildlife, and is a mecca for western and wilderness art.

Motorcycling and Snowmobiling

Hundreds of miles of wilderness area are at your disposal to ride on and off trail just minutes from your cabin. You can go to any of the many waterfalls in the area including Mesa Falls which is home to the Mesa Falls Marathon every year. The landscape changes with the seasons and whether you come in the summer or winter you are bound to have an adventure of a lifetime.

World Class Fishing

We are World Famous for our blue ribbon trout fisheries on the Henry's Fork and its tributaries, and our prolific hatches all year round. Your cabin is just minutes away from many fishing spots on the Henry's fork, Warm River, South Fork, Fall River, and the Madison.
